Lead Teacher position available, Toddler classroom, Bellmore N.Y.

 

We are a licensed Childcare Center currently seeking a NY State qualified teacher. Candidate must be reliable, patient, caring and familiar with how to maintain a classroom with children of 18 months – 3 years. Two years experience working in a childcare setting is essential. Must have an Associates Degree in Early Childcare or a CDA. Will consider someone currently pursuing a CDA if all other criteria is met. Hours are 7AM-3PM Monday – Friday.

Requirements:

Pediatric CPR and MAT Certification (or willingness to obtain)

Ability to write lesson plans (Creative Curriculum)

Background check and fingerprinting

Team player

Flexible to fill in for other when needed

Excellent communication skills, must read, write and speak English well

Day Care/Preschool Aide (Bay Shore)  

Compensation: Hourly: $10.00 per hour; Employment type: part-time;Non-profit organization

 

NYS licensed childcare center is looking for reliable, nurturing, and energetic aide to assist lead teachers in day care and preschool programs. Monday through Friday 9:00pm - 1:30pm, exact schedule may vary week to week. Increase to full time possible depending on performance and program growth. 

Required qualifications:

* High School diploma plus experience working with children.

* Willing to change diapers and assist with toilet training. 

* Able to work cooperatively with the lead teachers and other staff.

* Must have a love for working with young children.

* Must have or be willing to obtain:

1. Medical Clearance

2. NYS background check (including fingerprinting)

3. Pediatric CPR and Pediatric First Aid training 

References required

Associates Degree in Early Childhood or related field preferred

Experience with special needs children a plus

Bilingual a plus.

Supervisor

 

EAC Network is looking for a part time Supervisor for its Suffolk County Children Center located in Cohalan Court Complex in Central Islip. The Supervisor is responsible for managing the staff/volunteers and daily operations of the center. The position is Monday through Friday from 9am to 1pm. QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood education or a related field required. Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, preferred.

 Minimum of two years of relevant work experience required.

Knowledge of administrative procedures required.

Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills with ability to handle emergency situations.

 Must have or acquire CPR and First Aid certification once hired.

Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments.

 Able to lift small children and toddlers up to 50 pounds.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:  Supervise staff and volunteers.

Maintain schedule of staff and volunteers to ensure adequate program coverage.

 Apprise parents of program parameters.

 Act as program liaison with Court employees, community partners and funders.

Assist in grant writing and fundraising in conjunction with Regional Director to ensure sustainability of program.

Meet with staff for supervision and coordinate in-service trainings as needed.
