Job Description:  We are currently looking for an assistant that is
enthusiastic, dependable, highly qualified, loves working with children
and can possess the following qualifications:
1.   Must be 18 yrs or older with (2) years experience working in the Early-Childhood Education field, or has been involved working with young children in a daycare facility, preschool, or any other related educational facility where the needs of children were cared for and met.

2.   Has been working or is currently working towards a CDA certificate who is a highly motivated individual, very flexible with hours and change of weekly schedules according to the need of care.  Applicant can also have or is working towards an A.A.S. in Early education field.
3.  Must have a current clean and valid NYS License, insured and
be willing to drive children to/from school locally. (Wm. Floyd District Elem. Schools).

4.  Background check by Statewide register, finger printing, Child abuse/Neglect background check a MUST.
5.  Must have or be willing to work on receiving within the first 90 days of employment Adult/Child/Infant CPR and First Aid Certification.  This is a must in order to continue to be a valuable employee for the safety of young children in care.   It is preferred to have already these certifications which will make you a preferred applicant upon hiring.

6.  Must Speak, read, and write English well.
7. Must be flexible, independent, great communication skills, be able to assist provider with daily tasks of children such as: feeding, changing diapers, forms, projects, be creative, initiate classroom games/ideas with children of various age groups. Be respectful towards staff, parents and visitors.
8.  Must be a reliable team player, understand the nature and importance of your role in daycare, having to be considerate and respectful at all times.
9.  Salary is hourly based and depends on years of experience etc. (Willing to start at $10.00/hr)There is room for growth and improvement based on your leadership, experience and reliability.   May become full time as enrollment increases, paid holidays and vacation time available after 1 year of full employment.   No benefits or healthcare available.  Small business is located inside a private home with separate entrance.   Provider has over 12 years experience.

Authorized Background Check for Child Abuse and Neglect from NYS Department of Social Services, along with Pre-employment physical and TB Test.  Fingerprinting by NYS.  Must be at least 19 years of age.  Must read, write and speak English

General Duties: 
Daily planning and execution of all classroom and outdoor activities 
Responsible for the welfare, health and safety of the children in assigned group 
Supervision of children at all times 
Meal time activities of group, including eating with children 
Responsible for daily attendance records, menus, lunch/nap 
Training and constructive utilization of assigned staff members 
Maintaining a clean and well organized classroom 
Providing the children with teacher-made activities 
Encouraging creative and constructive use of materials in classroom 
Maintain a client focused attitude at all times 
Uphold Kiddie Academy quality standards
