Child Care Council of Suffolk Helps Parents
The Child Care Council of Suffolk (CCCS) helps parents find access to safe, quality child early care and education by:
- Educating you about the different types of child care and how to be good consumers of early care
- Referring you to legal child care
- Informing you about financial resources: subsidies and tax benefits
- Instructing you how to become leading advocates for children through the Parent Leadership Initiative (PLI)
- Advocating at the local, state and national levels for increased early care funding and for policy issues regarding the child care industry
- Inspecting and registering family child care homes
- Monitoring programs for compliance with New York State regulations
