• Associate's degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field; and,
• At least one (1) year experience related to caring for infants and toddlers.

• Infants and Toddler Child Care and Education credential; or, Infants Toddler Child Development Associate credential; or, other Office-recognized credential specific to the infant/toddler developmental period; and,
• Two (2) years experience related to caring for infants and toddlers.

• Nine (9) college credits in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a related field with a plan of study leading to:
o Infants and Toddler Child Care and Education credential; or,

o Other Office-recognized credential specific to the infant/toddler developmental period; or,
o Associate's Degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a related field; AND,
• Two (2) years experience related to caring for children, one of which must be related to working with infants and toddlers.
• Familiarity with Bank Street/Montessori/Reggio Emilia methodology, a plus.
The ASSISTANT TEACHER will assist the Group Teacher in the day-to-day care of children, facilitation of activities, and general classroom maintenance.
Qualified ASSISTANT TEACHER applicants must have:

• One (1) year experience working with children less than 13 years of age.

Summary of Position: We would like a morning TA, whose hours would start at 6:45am and end at 2:45pm, however we are flexible. This individual would be responsible for greeting infants and their parents warmly and with enthusiasm each morning.

The Infant Room TA would assist in planning and conducting an effective child development program to meet the physical, social, emotional and intellectual needs of each infant.

 Ensure that child care routines are carried out in a manner that is prompt, hygienic, and consistent with the good child development principles. This includes routines related to diapering, hand washing, eating, napping and transitioning between activities.

Initiate classroom activities daily (sing-a-longs, art projects, sensory exploration, outdoor stimulation).

Provides for the physical safety of each child from arrival time until departure time.

Required Experience/Qualifications: This position requires a high school diploma/GED. Preferably college credits in Early Childhood Education.  At least 1 year experience working with infants (6 weeks-18months old).

Harbor Child Care Center is seeking a full time Center Director for its Glen Cove Location. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Center Director effectively operates and manages all aspects of the Infant,Toddler, & PreK programs, staff and facility. The Center Director is responsible for operational aspects of the child care center, ensuring quality care and education for children; achievement of customer service; and ensuring compliance with NAEYC standards, NYS OCFS policies and procedures and NYS licensing regulations.
